Licenzor is a service provided by the Intellectual Property Securities Corporation (IPSE), dedicated to licensing intellectual property (IP) assets—such as movies, TV series, patents, technologies, podcasts, radio shows, and music—on a global scale.
This platform enables IP holders to monetize their creative and innovative works by offering licensing rights to businesses, distributors, and content platforms worldwide.
Licenzor also enables investors to participate in the Intellectual Property Primary Market and to make offers directly to the Intellectual Property Holder-Issuer, thereby providing him an immediate valuation and a fair market value to its
Intellectual Property Securities (IPS), if any were issued.
The three primary types of IPS are:
Intellectual Property Ownership Shares (IPOS):
Co-Ownership Share: Investors acquire a direct stake in an IP asset—such as a patent, trademark, or copyright—granting them co-ownership rights. Pass-Through Security: Similar to structures like Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), this feature ensures that income generated from the IP (e.g., royalties or licensing fees) is distributed directly to investors, potentially offering higher yields. Benefits: IPOS provide a transparent and tangible asset base, allowing IP creators to raise capital without relinquishing total control, while offering investors exposure to the IP market.
Intellectual Property Licensing Shares (IPLS):
Licensing Revenue Share: Investors receive a portion of the income generated from licensing the IP to third parties.
Asset Classes: Initially applicable to movies, series, patents, technologies, and music works, with potential expansion to licenses, franchises, and semiconductor topologies.
Advantages: IPLS offer a way to invest in the revenue streams of IP assets without direct ownership, providing diversification and income potential.
Intellectual Property Assignment Shares (IPAS):
Assignment of Rights: Investors obtain rights through the assignment of the IP, allowing them to benefit from the IP's value and associated income. Investment Opportunity: IPAS bridge investors with IP assets, enabling participation in the IP market's growth and profitability.
